Time for an update on my rotation and an another finish! First up are the rotation pieces ... Peppermint Twist ... stupid tree was pretty boring to stitch, but I love how it looks! Earth laughs is coming along nicely ... even with all the color changes for each flower, I still can stitch more in an evening ... feeling sooo accomplished! lol and last is L*K's Christmas Flip-its ... I'm a bit bummed because I dont' think I have enough fabric left to finish the last of the designs ... I might rip out the top of the border and see if one would fit on top of holly ... I really need to sit down and count it out ... yuck! My finish for the week is Autumn Song by Blackbird Design. I was doing a SAL with Natasha . She got a little side tracked by other stitching that had to get done, but she's really close to finishing it :) I really enjoyed this ... loved the colors! Not only is January my birthday month, what's not to love about your birthday month?! It's also a month of new things ... new 2012 calendar, new snow, new pants (I've been losing weight *smile*), new stash (I've been splurging a bit), new Gingher scissors (had my 50% coupon on me when I found Alicia at Joann's), new challenges at work (oh Joy!), new movies (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is one awesome movie) and and and a couple more new finishes!!! This is my favorite time of year. I'm sitting here watching racing and football, the sun is out but the wind is whipping the leaves around ... love it! And my fantasy football team is doing well today .. hopefully I'll get my first win! Last week I made some headway on TTandT, this is such a fun stitch. I finished page one (top left) and started page two (bottom left) ... I'm really enjoying Carol's mystery SAL ... I've finished Part 5 and can't wait to see the next part. It's nice because the motifs are small and I can sit and finish it up the same night and I'm enjoying this 40ct fabric too. I'll be getting more of it ... I pulled out one of my old wips, determined to finish it this year. I purchased Peppermint Twist the first year it was released, which was 2008!! I remember pulling it out last year and deciding to stitch the year on it right away because I was going to finish it in 2010 ... well it's now 2011 and still not done. last ...

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend. My weekend was filled with yard work with hubby, some MLS (WTG Sounders!), some NASCAR (if they every get the track dry!), lots of Mad Men watching (season 2, episode 6) and a nap! lol I thought I would give you a very wrinkled look at a couple of my rotation pieces ... first up is Peppermint Twist by BRD. I haven't worked on this lovely for a long time. PT is my Monday rotation piece. I just love this design and the Belle Soie's are wonderful to stitch with.
